Horse Creek Winery Promotes Georgia Wines & Georgia Grown!
Nashiville Georgia Winery Uses Bottle Hangers to Promote Georgia
This caught our eye. Ed & Andrea Perry of Horse Creek Winery have been spreading the good word about Georgia using these nifty bottle hangers. On the inside Ed's quote hits the spot.
"If every household spent an additional $10.00 a week in their local home town stores on Georgia Grown products it would put well over 2 Billion dollars back into our Georgia economy each year. That would sure help jump start our local economy without any obligation, nor dependency on State and Federal Government what so ever." The tag goes on to say "BUY GEORGIA WINE GOOD for YOU - GOOD for GEORGIA GOOD FOR OUR ECONOMY." Our congrats to Ed and Andrea for promoting Georgia Wines and Georgia Grown.
Horse Creek Winery is just east of Adel in Nashville, Berrien County, Georgia. It is located at 2873 Highway 76 West. The phone number is 229-686-9463.

NEWS - WEST GEORGIA WINEGRAPE SYMPOSIUM
Keynote Speaker: Fritz Westover, Extension Program Specialist – Viticulture, Texas Gulf Coast Region
The West Georgia Winegrape Symposium will be presented on July 30th, 2011 in Carrollton. This should be a milestone viticulture event for Georgia and surrounding states. The planting of the varieties featured in the symposium opens up the whole South to quality wine grapes that can stand the heat, humidity and disease pressures of our area. These grapes, which our members are already planting here, can also thrive in Albany, Macon, Athens, Savannah – everywhere previously left out of the wine bunch grape discussion in Georgia.
This initiative greatly expands the winegrape industry in the state, from just being in a few counties in the mountains, to putting all 159 counties in play as possible producers of this growing agriculture commodity.
